A new voluntary scheme called payroll giving will be an option for New Zealand workplaces from 7 January 2010.

 

Payroll giving enables donations to go directly to a chosen community organisation from a person’s pay. The scheme will be administered through the PAYE tax system. Having a good and reliable payroll system is essential for the accommodation of this scheme.
